The religious traditions of Confucianism, Daoism, and East Asian Buddhism explored in relation to the emerging field of religion and ecology. Developments that highlight the traditions' ecological implications into the contemporary period. Religious concepts, textual analysis, ritual activities, and institutional formations are related to engaged, on-the-ground environmental projects. Includes lectures viewed on line. Meets for the second half of the term.
