Cultural, historical, and linguistic aspects of the Hebrew and Jewish languages. How Yiddish and other Jewish languages emerged. Introduction to a multitude of linguistic technologies to include the historical-comparative method and the family tree model. Some knowledge of linguistics and/or Hebrew would be helpful, but not necessary. 1 Credit. Tuition: $3,450. Session A: June 2 - July 4.
